This step-by-step guide will help you understand how it works and what to expect when you book your in-home newborn or fresh 48 newborn photography session with me. Here’s how my service works in 10 easy steps!
Step One: Client Inquiry:
Step Two: Reserve your due date on my calendar with a retainer payment, which doubles as a Creative Fee. The creative fee is $300 and it covers Pre-session phone or video chat for planning, Wardrobe Styling Assistance for all family members, Up to 2 hours of photographic coverage for your newborn session, Photographer’s expertise, Travel to Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Toledo areas, plus a “Proofing Gallery” that is delivered within 3 days of your session date!
Step Three: You will receive an official “Welcome” email! This email will provide your exclusive client portal login information, and access to our styling tool & styling guide! You will also have the opportunity to schedule your pre-session chat so that we discuss your vision, coordinate things, and finalize any details before our time together.
Step Four: You will receive some helpful tips via email, on how to prepare for your newborn session. It’s a super quick checklist that will help make sure that when I arrive, things flow smoothly. Some things include adjusting the heat, decluttering spaces we will use, etc.
Step Five: Newborn Photography Session Takes Place
Step Six: You will receive your “Proofing Gallery”. This gallery will contain 60+ images. These images are NOT edited. This provides the opportunity for you to choose your absolute favorites for post-production rather than have me select them for you. This ensures that you are paying only for the images that absolutely love and that I’m not spending hours on in editing images that won’t be picked!
Step Seven: Once you’ve selected your favorite images and purchased your digital collection (ranging from $800-$2,000), post-production work starts. Your images will be fully edited with the photographer’s artistic style represented in our online portfolio. Final galleries are delivered within 2 weeks of receiving your favorites!
Step Eight: Download your gallery! Also, at this time, if you chose a digital collection that includes a print credit gift offer, you’d be able to use the credit toward any printed artwork. These gifted print credits will automatically expire 7 days after the gallery is received, so make sure to order before your gallery expiration date.
Step Nine: Artwork is shipped or hand-delivered to your home depending on the product and your location.
Step 10: Leave us a Review! You will be given the opportunity to provide feedback, positive or negative. We value our clients and their time. If you take the time to leave us a Google review, we’d be sure to send a surprise your way!
