I appreciate your interest in learning all about my process as your professional newborn photographer. I believe in total transparency and providing an exceptional experience for every client that I serve. This step-by-step guide will help you to understand how it all works and what to expect when you book your in-home newborn or fresh 48 newborn photography session with me.
Step One: You must inquire. All official inquiries are submitted through my website contact form or by booking your desired package and date directly on our investment page. Trust me, it’s for a very good reason. I love simplicity and organization and I think you’ll appreciate it too! :). All inquiries are responded to within 24 hours.
Step Two: On our investment page, you can see what’s included with my packages, check availability, and reserve your due date or preferred session date on the calendar. Please keep in mind that your retainer fee is due at the time of booking. The remainder of your session fees are due (1) day prior to our scheduled session or at 38 weeks depending. on your package.
Step Three: Once we have connected and have agreed to work together, I will send you an official “Welcome” email. This email will grant access to your exclusive client portal! This is one central location where all “business things” are handled from your invoice, contract, questionnaires, etc. You will also have the opportunity to schedule your pre-session chat. We’ll discuss your vision, coordinate styling preferences, and finalize any details before our time together.
Step Four: You will receive some helpful tips via email, on how to prepare for your newborn session. It’s a super quick checklist that will help make sure that when I arrive, we are able to jump right into our session. Some things include adjusting the heat, decluttering spaces we will use, and opening the curtains or blinds. etc. You will also receive our styling guide to help you come up with ideas for coordinating your entire family.
Step Five: Newborn Photography Session Takes Place, either in the hospital or in your home.
Step Six: You will receive a notification via email when your Portrait Gallery is Ready! Your images will be fully edited with the photographer’s artistic style represented in our online portfolio. Final galleries are delivered within 2 weeks of your session date. The gallery will contain 40-60+ images, depending on your package selection. You’d have the opportunity to create a favorite list of your images to help you sort your top images before downloading them. All downloads are automatically counted. Your gallery will be set to download only the amount of images included in your package. Images can only be downloaded using your email address.
Step Seven: We believe that photography is best enjoyed in print! If your package included our signature 5 x 7 fine art prints, this is the time to edit your favorite list even further. You’d only want the images you’d like printed on this list. If you’d like to upgrade to a full gallery download or purchase additional prints or a print collection, you’d log into your client portal and complete the “Order Form”. Once your order has been placed, it will be processed in the order it was received. Full gallery upgrades can be downloaded on the same day.
Step Eight: Downloading your gallery! Your gallery will be available for 30 days. If your gallery expires before making selections, there is an admin fee of $50 to re-upload the gallery. Within your gallery, you can mark your photos private. This is so helpful for those more intimate moments that you want to keep all to yourself. When you share your gallery with friends and family, they won’t see any photos that you’ve marked private, nor will I use these photos for marketing online or in print.
Step Nine: Artwork and printed products are shipped or hand-delivered to your home depending on the product and your location. I love home visits to catch up and bring printed goodies. It’s always a delight.
Step 10: Leave us a Review! You will be given the opportunity to provide feedback, positive or negative. We value our clients and their time. If you take the time to leave us a Google review, we’ll be sure to send a surprise your way!
