My ultimate joy comes from being a mother to 3 sweet little faces. I’m unapologetic about my motherhood journey. Each of my babies had a different story. My first two were very similar. They were born at 41 weeks and while they're 5 years apart, their birthdays are 6 days apart. EliJah is 8 and Ma'Leah is 3.
Matthias, my last, will always remind me of my strength. 2018 was one of the hardest years of my life. I was so vulnerable and almost afraid of tomorrow. They had told me at 18 weeks that my baby boy would not make it. They said that by 24 weeks, he'd be gone. The worst news an expecting mother could hear. Thankfully, I had a wonderful community of support even strangers that kept me grounded and in faith. Although he was severely growth restricted, he was born at 30 weeks weighing 1lb 14oz. After 42 nights in the NICU at St. Joseph's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I took home a very healthy 4lb 2oz thriving baby boy. He is 14 months, (12months corrected age) and weighs 17lbs. He's the sweetest, calmest, and the most interesting little fella. It makes my heart smile to hear my children call me "Mama". I love seeing them grow into themselves.
The photos below were taken by my photographer friend, Jennifer Mason, an internationally known birth photographer and co founder of Birth Becomes Her.

When I started my business in 2015, It was called Tiana Lashae Photography. After working with many families and dabbling into different genres of photography, my love for new babies and mothers ultimately helped me to re-brand my business. In August of 2018, I made the commitment to exclusively work with mothers, mothers to be, and their families.
